Sam Hardwick
Biography

After growing up on a farm in Hereford I moved to Cardiff and studied BA (Hons) Documentary Photography at the University of South Wales (formerly University of Wales, Newport). I am now settled in London where I work as a documentary and commercial photographer. I also assist and retouch, with experience in both digital and analog; working for the likes of Simon Roberts, Lisa Barnard, David Barnes, Paul Reas, and Marsha Arnold.

My documentary practice sits in the genre of Contemporary Documentary Landscape and is mainly concerned with the social and cultural connections between technologies, society, and the environment. Commercially, I work primarily as a location and events photographer. I have worked regularly for the Hay Festival Media Team and Miranda Parry Photography. My work has been distributed by the likes of the BBC, Associated Press, The Times, Vanity Fair, The Bookseller, Science Museum, Swansea University, Cardiff University, and RSPB. I am award winning and have been exhibited nationwide in the UK. Details of past exhibitions and awards can be found on my website.
