After 25+ years working out of London shooting around the world for various ad agencies, whilst having a lot of fun solving Client's problems, and picking up a few awards along the way, I relocated to Cape Town. For those of you who've never been, the light quality is astounding and the variety of landscapes mind boggling - everything from a Nordic pine forest to the Scottish Highlands, from the Salisbury Plains to Nevada deserts. Urban streets to country lanes and highways. Plus, every type of beach you could wish for. All this and more within a couple of hours of a major city.
If you need someone with local knowledge, give me a shout. And if you want someone to shoot there for you, even better. I have an extensive number of specialist producers, scouts and the like in my address book.
I'm now back North of the equator in Portugal, closer to the UK and looking forward to my new adventure.
Over the years I've shot most genres of advertising from table top still life to articulated trucks, from small intimate productions to large complex ones and am equally at home in the studio or out on location. Since relinquishing my London studios, I concentrated more on the outdoors, lifestyle and automotive. Speaking of cars, the specialist Carbon Fibre tracking rig I have is the only one of its kind in South Africa & Portugal. It's very compact for ease of transport & rigs up in no time making it a very cost efficient tool in my arsenal of kit.
