After 25+ years working out of London shooting around the world for various ad agencies, having a lot of fun doing it and picking up a few awards along the way, I relocated to South Africa buying a house in Cape Town. For those of you who've never been here, the light quality is astounding and the variety of landscapes mind boggling - everything from a Nordic pine forest to the Scottish Highlands, from the Salisbury Plains to Nevada deserts. Urban streets to country lanes and highways. Plus, every type of beach you could wish for. All this and more within a couple of hours of a major city.
Over the years I've shot most genres of advertising from table top still life to articulated trucks, from small intimate productions to large complex ones and am equally at home in the studio or out on location. Since relinquishing my London studios, I concentrated more on the outdoors, lifestyle and automotive. Speaking of cars, the specialist Carbon Fibre tracking rig I brought over with me from the UK, is the only one of its kind in South Africa. It rigs up in no time making it a very cost efficient tool in my arsenal of kit.
South Africa has the crews, the kit, the talent, the locations, no jet lag coming in from Europe and is immensely cost efficient compared to other parts of the world. I've linked up with one of Cape Town's most experienced producers who is now an integral part of my team and we look forward to welcoming you to Cape Town and surrounds.
