Born in 1997, I am a Greek documentary and commercial photographer. Upon graduating from High School, in my hometown near Athens, I decided to move to the United Kingdom in order to pursue my dream of becoming a professional photographer. Over the following three years, I was based in Cardiff studying BA (Hons) Documentary Photography at the University of South Wales, where I graduated in 2018 with a First Class Honours degree.
After 25+ years working out of London shooting around the world for various ad agencies, having a lot of fun doing it and picking up a few awards along the way, I relocated to South Africa buying a house in Cape Town. For those of you who've never been here, the light quality is astounding and the variety of landscapes mind boggling - everything from a Nordic pine forest to the Scottish Highlands, from the Salisbury Plains to Nevada deserts. Urban streets to country lanes and highways. Plus, every type of beach you could wish for.
I'm a freelance photographer specialised in food and travel. I work for commercial and editorial assignments and for the same reason my clients' list is wide-ranged.
I love the idea to tell stories across colours, lines and light. I believe that self-improvement is the key to a successful career and life balance, therefore I always plan to create better photographs for my clients and my own pleasure.
Please have a look at my portfolio and feel free to contact me.
Currently specialising in Equine and Canine portraiture I have over 30 years experience in professional photography and have experience in most fields with an emphasis on Still life, Advertising, Portraiture and now pets and animals, these fields have given me an attention to detail that carries through all my work. I've been a digital retoucher since digital retouching became a thing, I'm just as comfortable retouching other photographer's work as well as my own.
I am a documentary portrait photographer looking into niche groups and subcultures that are often overlooked. I use subtle lighting techniques to bring a scene to life, to portray people as they are, in their moment.
I spent the definitive years of my life growing up in the wide open landscapes of the Namib Desert, Eastern Free State, Namaqualand and various other remote parts of Southern Africa. Combining my background in commercial film making with a photographic apprenticeship, I value the importance of story telling in my images and videos looking to express a greater tale through a collection of shots or images in order to capture “The moment”. I’ve now settled in London and support a worldwide client base.
