Hi, I'm Oliver. I'm a photographer. It's my job and my passion. As a former abstract painter with over 10 years experience in commercial photography, I have had plenty of practice using my creative approach to fulfill a brief. It takes a certain attitude to make this work and I relish the task. Every shoot is different, which means I'm always learning and refining what I do.
I'm based between London and Margate (Kent), but work globally.
I'm a freelance photographer specialised in food and travel. I work for commercial and editorial assignments and for the same reason my clients' list is wide-ranged.
I love the idea to tell stories across colours, lines and light. I believe that self-improvement is the key to a successful career and life balance, therefore I always plan to create better photographs for my clients and my own pleasure.
Please have a look at my portfolio and feel free to contact me.
I'm a photographer of places, food, people and narrative still-lifes, I'm based in London and often seen in Athens, the south of Europe, around the Mediterranean and occasionally further away. I've shot food and travel books ( what's inside, not the books themselves), stories for mags, ads for companies, series for online platforms, covers for music and some interiors too. I'm super nice.
My name is Gavin Crilly and I have been working as a professional photographer for nearly 30 years covering press, PR and corporate photography in London and the South West of England including Bristol, Bath, Cheltenham and Gloucester.
I first started as a portrait photographer in Selfridges on Oxford Street in the mid 1980's moving on to newspapers and magazines holding staff and freelance positions covering news sport and features for both news agencies and daily papers with pictures being syndicated world wide.
A camera geek and dedicated commercial photographer.
I appreciate design in all it's forms, from the elegance of a Louboutin to the monolithic architecture of a Land Rover, from a textural edible temptation to the jewellery of a glistening brandy glass. Design and imagery excite me and drive my passion to create beautiful images in digital and print formats that my clients will adore.
With a background in picture editing on national and international publications, I moved into photography in 2010, with a Masters in Photojournalism and Documentary Photography. I apply my documentary style across several genres, including travel, food, portraits and events. My meticulous eye for detail always ensures I deliver a superlative product on time and to brief.
I work across the globe for editorial, commercial and NGO clients.
My work includes commercial, corporate and editorial assignments.
I especially shoot a lot of portraits, mostly of people at their most relaxed and natural. I can communicate effectively with anyone with whom I have a language in common and with many with whom I don’t.
My clients include creative and communications agencies, large corporations, magazines, entrepreneurs and entertainers.
I discovered my love of this medium while studying in New York, a skill I nurtured at university, and practice continued within a first career in the Royal Navy.
My creative journey has since led me to hone in on three genres, adventure, fashion and portraiture and have since become an accredited member of the Association of Photographers and a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society.
